Over the past while, we’ve seen great progress on the building. The steel structure for the sanctuary is now complete, and steel roof and wall panels have been partially installed. Steelwork for the lobby and patio overhangs has also been completed. Inside, plumbing rough-ins are complete, and preparation for the lower classroom concrete floor is now done.

Work is continuing steadily on site. Electrical conduit for the under-floor systems is beginning to be installed, while some of the existing steel is being re-primed. Steel pan roofing is actively being installed, and steel framing has started for the parapets, the back entrance roof area, and key roof connections.

Looking ahead, concrete will soon be poured for the lower classrooms, and the underground electrical work will be wrapped up. We are aiming for a floor pour for the lobby and sanctuary by the end of May. In addition, steel stud framing on the exterior walls will begin shortly.

As we continue through this phase of the project, we invite you to pray with us. Please pray for strong and meaningful connections with the workers, especially through our weekly BBQs. Pray as well for the safety and security of everyone on site, and for protection against theft of equipment and tools. Finally, pray for guidance and wisdom as we make important decisions, that this building would become a welcoming and life-giving space for our church family.
